More than a hundred students will pass practical training in Novoportovskoye field

The company “Gazpromneft-Yamal” conducts the program of industrial work placement for students.
This year it will become the biggest during 6 years of work of the enterprise. Till the end of December 107 people will participate in the program, 68 of them – in summer. Students of higher education institutes pass practical training in Novoportovskoye field in Yamal and in the office of the company in Tyumen.
During a month the students increase skills on their specialization and delve into the subject of their profession under supervision of tutors. Experienced professionals create the schedule for the students, control its fulfillment and help the novices to cope with duties efficiently and safely. In Novoportovskoye field the students work as operators of oil and gas extraction, as it informed to the news agency “Sever-Press” in the board of corporate communications of the company “Gazpromneft-Yamal”. For the students the company provides comfortable conditions of accommodation in the severe arctic region with the opportunity of recreation and sports activities.
Practical training gives the young specialists the unique opportunity to learn details of work of oil workers and finally to determine their choice of the future profession. Being students, they become a part of the large project “Novy Port” and with their own eyes can see progress of extraction and transportation of oil in the Arctic, use of innovative technologies in production, as the director general of “Gazpromneft-Yamal” Aleksey Ovechkin says.
Students can apply for participation in the program of industrial work placement, starting from the second year of education. Profiles of candidates come to the company from the leading specialized institutes and universities of the country. High progress in study and active participation of young people in social life of their higher education institution and region are important criteria in the selection of candidates. This year representatives of indigenous peoples of the North, who study on the specialization “Oil and gas work”, became the participants in the program.
“Gazprom Neft” conducts systematic work not only with students but also with pupils in localities of its presence. Within the program of social investments “Native towns” the company organizes the intellectual tournament, where senior pupils conduct scientific researches and solve real production problems. The project “The class of exact sciences” is fulfilled in the settlements Novy Port and Mys Kamenniy, where the pupils study natural sciences, and it helps them to determine their future profession. The master’s programs “Conceptual engineering” and “Industrial and civil construction on oil production objects” are developed on the basis of Tyumen industrial and Tyumen state universities; students are taught on the grant of “Gazprom Neft” with the opportunity to pass practical training in the subdivisions of the company.
As we should remind, this year “Gazprom Neft” took the first place in the rating of the most attractive employers in Russia, according to version of the international prize Randstad Award. Activities of HR-services was evaluated by the independent international research company TNS Global, which surveyed more than 14 thousand respondents from eight federal regions — representatives of working and non-working population. It makes the research one of the most authoritative and objective.
