NOVATEK will become the world’s largest exporter of liquefied gas

During the coming 10 years NOVATEK plans to become the world’s largest exporter of liquefied gas, being ahead of Qatar. The financial director of the company Mark Gyetvay spoke on such promise.
On the energy forum in London he explained that it would become possible after startup of two LNG-projects of the company — “Yamal LNG” and “Arctic LNG-2”. At that, Mark Gyetvay underlines that Russian oil and gas sector should not be afraid of influence of sanctions of the USA on the branch, as RBC informs.
According to the words of the financial director, NOVATEK intends to start gas export from the first stage of “Yamal LNG” till the end of 2017 and on a half-year to accelerate terms of completion of the final stage of the project. The second stage of “Yamal LNG” will be completed in the second half of 2018, the third – till the first half of 2019. As Mark Gyetvay notes, deliveries of all installations for the project are planned for this year.
