About two thousand experts from Germany, the USA, Italy, France, the Middle East, China, the CIS and Russian regions are participating in the eighth Tyumen innovative oil and gas forum.
The forum was opened by the Minister of natural resources and ecology of Russia Sergey Donskoy. As he notes, development of mineral resource base, which provides 50 percent of income of the federal budget, is a strategic task of the state and lies in the sphere of responsibilities of the Ministry for nature. In spite of diversification of sources of natural resources in the world, according to expert estimates, the share of fossil fuels will be reduced from 80 to 50 percent by 2025, at that, oil and gas will make 44 percent of deliveries to the world market, currently — 53 percent. Today the task of forming of new centers of oil and gas extraction is a key priority. In general, dynamics of reproduction of mineral-raw material base is positive. Actually increase of oil reserves made 575 million tonnes, gas — 702 milliard cubic meters by the end of 2016.
The minister also notes that today Russia is facing external and internal threats, challenges on the background of falling prices for energy carriers. In his opinion, administrative barriers are being created for domestic companies, and in these conditions it is important to develop innovative technologies on the Russian market of services.
As we should remind, that traditional scientific conferences, round tables, discussion platforms are working within the forum. Large companies are organizing procurement sessions and exchange of business contacts. Among the guests of the forum there are managers and vice-presidents of the companies “Gazprom Neft”, “LUKOIL”, “Schlumberger Russia and Central Asia”, “Rosneft”.
