Farmers of the world checked the plans for the year on the background of the exposition stand of Yamal

Working conferences of representatives of delegations from different countries of the world are taking place within the 83rd agricultural exhibition “Green Week” in Berlin. Thus, the specialists from Yamal participated in the discussion on food safety, forming of ecologically clean assortment of products and healthy nutrition on the world market. 

It is remarkable that the World Farmers Organization chose exactly the stand of Yamal as a place for the meeting. The president of the World Farmers Organization (WFO) Theo de Jager notes that the results of workers in the Russian Arctic are impressive and deserve respect. As he says, it is now 40C degrees above zero at his home — South Africa, and in Yamal – it is 40C below zero! And people make progress in agriculture in such severe conditions. This is an example for many people. He expressed the wish to study experience of the Russian colleagues.
As the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Kobylkin notes, the authorities will continue policy of transfer of Arctic agro-industrial complex to deep processing of reindeer meat and fish. “The road map” exists, and it also supposes equipping basic capacities with modern complexes. Demand for environmentally friendly products from Yamal is marked both in domestic and foreign markets. Such dynamics will allow enterprises and private reindeer herders to develop further.
By the results of the conference the President of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia, a deputy of the State Duma, the first deputy chairman of the committee on agrarian issues Vladimir Plotnikov informed the participants that the decision had been taken — to conduct the Congress of farmers of the world in May of 2018 in Russia, in Moscow.
“Green week” is a unique platform for farmers of the world to demonstrate their best products to consumers. And Russia has something to surprise. It is important for the Russian side that the Congress will take place exactly in Russia. Today Russian agrarians show that they can develop agricultural industry, have modern processing enterprises and competitive goods. All this contributes to economic development of the country, as Vladimir Plotnikov says.
Representatives from different countries will gather in Russia to share their experience, to explore global trends and to discuss issues of technological change in agriculture under global climate warming. As the press service of the governor of Yamal informs, last weekend representatives of the Chinese delegation also conducted consultations with colleagues from Yamal on issues of joint development of the market of velvet antler products.
As we should note, the stand of Yamal at the exhibition in Berlin is popular not only among experts but also among thousands of visitors. Traditionally the weekend was the most crowded.
