The second wave of development is going to Yamal

The social and informational project “Yamal. The second wave of development” will start in Yamal on the 3rd of February. It will be conducted within the Year of social responsibility announced by the governor of the arctic region. 

The event is being organized by the regional department of international and external economic relations under support of municipalities for informing of population of the region on activity and large projects being fulfilled in Yamal. Exhibitions and presentations of basic key aspects of achievements of the region, informational and entertainment programs with attracting of creative collectives will take place in each municipality till the 16th of March.
As we should remind, integrated projects are planned and fulfilled in the region only on the basis of the general arctic idea “developing strategic resources of the Arctic, to preserve and to multiply its cultural, human and nature potential”. They are directed to creation of arctic transport system, development of energy infrastructure and objects of industry.
Today Yamal is entering the epoch of fast changes. Industrial boom has been observed in the region for the third year in a row. 50 percent of industrial products of Russian arctic regions are made in Yamal. 30 priority investment projects not only the largest in the country but also ones of the most promising in the world are being fulfilled in Yamal within the strategy of socioeconomic development of the region till 2020.
According to the information given to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press” in the regional department of international and external economic relations, Yamal by right can be called the international center for preservation and development of the Arctic. Through its partner relations, considering wide geography of cooperation, it unites interests of different states. During the years of effective work the arctic region confirmed its stability and reliability both for population, partners and investors.
