Ones of the most promising in the world. In Moscow Yamal presented experience of fulfillment of business projects

In Moscow the head of the representational office of Yamal under the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zakharov told the participants about experience of the Autonomous Okrug on fulfillment of business projects. He presented it at the conference “International and national economic programs as an instrument for development of regions of the Russian Federation”. 

As we should remind, 30 priority investment projects are being fulfilled in Yamal. The largest of them are: “Yamal LNG”, “Arctic LNG 2” and “The Northern Latitudinal Railway”.
The investment projects of Yamal are not only the largest in the country but also one of the most promising in the world. They are included into long-term strategic governmental programs, are being fulfilled under support of the federal budget and public-private partnership with the largest enterprises of fuel and energy complex and key transport companies, with attracting of funds of foreign investors.
Potential of production in the region makes more than 100 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per year, as it is informed in the department of international and external economic relations of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It is more than 15 percent of the world market. Only the icebreaking tanker, the first of fifteen, “Christophe de Margerie” launched to water within the project “Yamal LNG” delivers more than 172 thousand cubic meters of liquefied natural gas to foreign countries via the Northern Sea Route during one trip.
Dmitry Zakharov notes that projects, which are aimed at creation and use of infrastructure of the Northern Sea Route, are being fulfilled also in oil industry. Starting with 2018, through the oil terminal “Vorota Arktiki” the company “Gazpromneft – Yamal” will annually load more than six million tonnes of oil incoming from Novoportovskoye field.
The head of the representational office tells about the plans associated with prospects of growth and indicators of external trade of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, which are connected with non-primary goods. By 2020 in the region it is planned to start up the gas chemical complex of Noviy Urengoy, production capacity of which will make 400 thousand tonnes of polyethylene of low density and various brands per year. In addition to the main products, the company will manufacture the wide fraction of hydrocarbons and methane fraction. It is planned to use gas produced in Urengoyskoye gas condensate field as a raw material for manufacturing of ethylene and polyethylene.
Dmitry Zakharov underlines that all projects at the regional level are fulfilled through forming of economic relations with subjects of the Russian Federation and foreign partners. The region successfully follows the given state policy aimed at import substitution, integrated development of infrastructure and modernization of economy as a whole.
