Development of the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route will be discussed in Tyumen

The 20th International scientific and practical conference “The Northern Sea Route, water and terrestrial transport corridors as the basis of development of Siberia and the Arctic in XXI century” will take place in Industrial University of Tyumen on the 23rd of March. 

It is being expected that representatives of scientific organizations and universities of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will participated in the event. The experts will consider strategies of water and terrestrial transport corridors in connection with the Northern Sea Route, development of ship navigation, small fleet, enlargement of the network of ports on rivers of Siberia, as the press-service of the University informs.
In addition, the participants will discuss programs of development of the Western Siberian oil and gas complex and their influence on environment of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North, safety and development of northern territories, issues of legal culture of modern youth and ways of their solving. The Tyumen regional parliament (Duma), the government of Tyumen Oblast, higher education institutions and scientific organizations of Tyumen are the organizers of the conference.
