Representatives of Yamal suggest regularizing nomadic school at the federal level

Nomadic form of education should be regularized in the federal legislation. It was declared by the deputy chairperson of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Yelena Zlenko. Legislators of Yamal intend to earn support from northern regions with characteristic lifestyle of nomads. 

These are 8 subjects; some of them have definite experience of work on organizing of educational process for children conducting traditional lifestyle together with parents. It needs to study this experience at preparation of the project of the legislative initiative, as Yelena Zlenko considers.
At the present time 500 children from indigenous ethnic minorities of the North receive preschool and school education in Yamal. According to the information given in the press-service of the parliament, such form of education is more effective at pre-education before going to the first class. In the opinion of the deputy, for successful development of each child living in families of nomads it is necessary to solve two tasks: to give qualitative knowledge and not to break connection with parents in order a child would be able to absorb culture, language, specifics of everyday life and traditions of the people.
The project “Nomadic School” is fulfilled to solve this difficult task in the region. The complex of educational and methodological manuals was developed in one row with practical activities. The complex is passing through expert examination at the federal level. Moreover, the Federation Council is ready to regularize this experience in the law on education. In order the nomadic form of education would have the right for existence, it requires for legal regulation at the federal level, as the deputy notes.
At development of the legislative initiative the working group intends to collect suggestions of Russian subjects, on territories of which indigenous population conducts traditional lifestyle.
