The second wave of development is going around Yamal. Nadym

On the 6th of February the project “Yamal. The second wave of development” started its way to the town Nadym. 

This town is chosen because in 1971 it served as the support base for gas-extracting workers. Development of extractive fields of Yamal was started from Medvezhye field. This information was given by the deputy director of the department of international and external economic relations of Yamal Sergey Uramayev to journalists.
Sergey Uramayev notes that the place for the start was chosen not by accident. A Trecol vehicle started its way from Salekhard from the stele “To romanticists of the 70-s” dedicated to one of the stages of development of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Exactly owing to participants of the first wave of development – pioneers and pathfinders – the region received its development. In Nadym 12 people of the technical and organizational group will prepare the exposition. On the 7th of February the creative group will arrive, and the participants of the project will present “The second wave of development” to town-dwellers. They will stay in Nadym for two days.

The creative group includes: a famous singer and composer of Yamal Igor Kornilov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal, a singer Yelena Laptander, the honored employee of culture of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, a singer Angelika Kulmametova, the folk-group “Machit Koimy” (songs of taiga). Also creative collectives of Nadym will participate in the program.
According to Sergey Uramayev, later the participants of the project will go to Noviy Urengoy and to the settlement Tazovskiy and further around the whole Yamal. The group will arrive to the western part of the region on the 4th of March, and then they will go to Shuryshkarskiy and Priuralskiy districts. “Yamal. The second wave of development” will be finished in Salekhard on the 11th of March.

As we should remind, the event is being conducted within the Year of social responsibility announced by the governor of Yamal Dmitry Kobylkin. The project is directed to informing of population about events that wait for the arctic region in the future. Its idea appeared last year. The project will tell residents of Yamal about them themselves, people, who create history of the big country. It is a kind of preparation for the forthcoming jubilee – in 2020 Yamal will celebrate its 90th anniversary.
In addition, 2018 was marked with a significant event – the startup of the project “Yamal LNG”. The first wave of development of Yamal took place in the 60-70-s.
Also the organizers intend to present the project in Krasnoyarsk Krai and Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
