Big preparatory work is taking place on the meat-processing complex “Payuta”. Employees of the enterprise are thoroughly checking quality of the consignment of reindeer skins purposed for export to Finland and preparing goods for shipment. According to the contract with the company “Lapin Nahka”, the complex intends to deliver five thousand skins to the Finnish manufacturer.
As required by the technology being used in Scandinavian countries, they were all preserved with help of drum salting. The exact date of delivery of the goods has not been indicated yet, the administration of the enterprise clarifies that the skins will be shipped after they are inspected, and accompanying documents are issued, as the press service of the governor of Yamal informs.
In addition, employees of “Payuta” started deboning of venison for sending to Germany. The contract with the German company “P. Kover e.K” on export of 32 tonnes of ecologically clean meat was concluded this year.
As we should note, the company “Lapin Nahka” has been busy with manufacturing of products of deer skins since 1969. Products, mainly decorations and accessories made of fur and leather, are delivered to 35 countries. The material is purchased in Finland, Norway, Sweden and delivered from Russia – the Republic of Komi, Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Murmansk Oblast. Every year the company processes about 100 thousand skins. But production potential allows doubling these amounts.
In 2016 the owner of the company Harri Pokka came to Yamal in search for potential suppliers of valuable raw materials. The contract with the company “Payuta” was signed at the end of 2017.
