The production rate exceeded 100 tonnes per day. The first well was built in Tazovskoye field

The company “Gazpromneft-Razvitie” has completed construction of the first exploitation well in Tazovskoye field since the moment of receiving the license. The total length of the new high-tech well made 3.9 kilometers, 1.9 kilometers of which make the length of the horizontal section.
The initial production rate of the constructed well exceeded 100 tonnes per day, as the press-service of the company “Gazprom Neft” informs. The data received in the result of drilling allowed clarifying a geological model of Tazovskoye field and correcting the strategy of the asset development. In particular, it is supposed to reduce the time of development of the field and to increase potential of hydrocarbon extraction.
Being in the status of the operator of the field development, in 2017 “Gazprom Neft” re-tested two wells in Tazovskoye field.
“Gazprom Neft” continues active forming of the new cluster of extraction in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the key region for the company. Development of reservoirs below the gas cap of Tazovskoye and Achimov layers on the Severo-Samburgskoye area, licenses to which the company received in 2017 from Gazprom, has double significance for the company: through use of the newest technologies of extraction the company in maximum effectively uses resource potential of Yamal, while receiving valuable experience of work with difficult reserves, as the head of the directorate for large projects of “Gazprom Neft”, the director general of “Gazpromneft-Razvitie” Denis Sugaipov says.
Tazovskoye field is located to the north-east from Salekhard. On the 1st of January of 2016 the state balance of mineral resources accounted for 72 million tonnes of extractable oil reserves, also 4 million and 600 thousand tonnes of condensate and 183 milliard and 300 million cubic meters of free gas in Tazovskoye field.
