Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin called Belgium and Luxembourg “the right partners” in development of technologies for exploration of the Arctic and investment policy.
As Belgium is a consumer of Russian LNG already now, and Luxembourg is interested in high technology and has great investment potential, for Russia they are the right partners from the point of view of development of not only issues of LNG and consumption in Europe but also from the point of view of development of technologies of the Arctic exploration and investment policy, which can be attractive for partners of the country, as Rogozin says to journalists after the sitting of the intergovernmental commission of Russia, Belgium and Luxembourg.
According to him, the Russian side invited the Belgian and Luxembourg colleagues within the business mission to visit Yamal, Sabetta, the giant plant for liquefying of natural gas, as TASS reports.
As Dmitry Rogozin says, the Russian side has something to boast with, and it wants to demonstrate, to show technologies that are being used there both for delivery of modules along the Northern Sea Route and also for their installation and commissioning of the first, the second and the next stages of this plant. Also the Russian side wants to show the high level of technology being used there and to tell about the plans for development of the Northern Sea Route, as he notes.
Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that the presentation on development of the nuclear-powered icebreaking fleet of Russia would take place. The fleet can use instrument-making technologies created in Europe, in particular, in Belgium and Luxembourg.
