The project of the plant “Arctic LNG 2” was presented in Gyda

The head of Tazovskiy district Alexander Ivanov together with the working group visited the settlements Antipayuta and Gyda.
The delegation participated in the presentation of the project of the plant “Arctic LNG 2”, visited construction sites of social objects and housing, objects of energy supply.
In the settlement Gyda the director general of “Arctic LNG 2” Alexander Matveevsky presented the project of the plant on extraction and production of liquefied natural gas on the Gydan Peninsula. Alexander Ivanov, the head of the settlement Oleg Shabalin, representatives of the local self-government and inhabitants of the settlement were present at the meeting. As we should remind, construction of the enterprise “Arctic LNG 2” is a project of NOVATEK. The beginning of gas production and export of ready products is planned for 2023, as the administration of Tazovskiy district informs.
The representatives of “Arctic LNG 2” told about advantages and significance of the plant for the region and the country in general. The project will be fulfilled on the basis of Utreneye field, including three production lines located on fixed offshore platforms. It is supposed that LNG production on the Gydan peninsula will allow Russia to take up to seven percent of the world market of liquefied natural gas already by 2025.
Attention within the trip was also paid to working issues. In the settlement Gyda the head of the district inspected the course of building process. Special attention was paid to objects of social sphere under construction. In the settlement Antipayuta Alexander Ivanov visited a boarding school, start of reconstruction of which is planned for this year. In Gyda the head of the district inspected the construction site of the boarding school for 720 pupils. As we should remind, the agreement on financing of construction of the educational institution was signed between the government of Yamal and NOVATEK. It is planned that on the first of September pupils of Gyda will be welcomed in the new school building.
Also the representatives of the municipal authorities visited objects of energy supply. In Gyda and Antipayuta it is planned to construct wastewater treatment plants with the capacity 500 cubic meters per day.
The equipment for Antipayuta was purchased and will be delivered directly to the construction site in the near future in favorable weather conditions, as Alexander Ivanov says. It is planned to input the object to operation till the first of September. Also the new power complex on gas will be an important object for Gyda.
As the head of the settlement Oleg Shabalin says, because of the sanitary zone this structure will be built in two kilometers away from the settlement. The power complex includes an electric power plant and a boiler room. Now the object is at the design stage, as he says.
