Dmitry Kobylkin and Alexander Dyukov opened the Ice Arena in Muravlenko

In the town Muravlenko the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Kobylkin and the chairman of the board of “Gazprom Neft” Alexander Dyukov participated in the opening of the Ice Arena, a branch of the hockey academy “Avangard” (avant-garde).
“This is a long-awaited object. And, taking the opportunity, I thank the participants in creation of this object – the company “Gazprom Neft” and the company “NOVATEK”, as the governor of Yamal said. “Thanks to them, children can play sports in modern conditions”.
The head of the arctic region, congratulating the countrymen on commissioning of the object, reminded that almost half of the population of Yamal systematically is engaged in physical culture and sport, and on this indicator the region in among the five leading regions of the country.
“Not by chance. The program on modernization of sports infrastructure was started up seven years ago and now rightfully it is possible to speak about the results: during several years the region commissioned 44 sports objects, and 35 of them were built by enterprises of fuel and energy complex”, as the governor said.
Alexander Dyukov, commenting on the opening of the ice arena, said: “Growth of quality of life in regions is the main goal of our program of social investments “Native towns”. And Muravlenko, of course, is exactly our native town: one of the key extracting enterprises of Gazprom Neft is located here. And the Ice Arena is not the first example of our company’s investments in development of social infrastructure of the town. We have already built several sports objects, residential buildings here, and construction of a large kindergarten is being conducted”.
“Today’s event perfectly demonstrates effective interaction of the Yamal government with Gazprom Neft, which is known to Yamal people as an example of socially responsible business”, as Dmitry Kobylkin said in the comment. “It is very pleasant that the company’s program “Native towns” is not just a slogan. This is real embodiment of the company’s attitude to the territory, where it operates. Thank you for the opportunity you give our children in the arctic region. I am sure that our children will glorify Yamal and Russia in the future”.
Then the solemn throwing of a hockey puck, which was fulfilled by Dmitry Kobylkin and Alexander Dyukov, took place. They gave the hockey puck and the symbolic keys to the new Ice Arena to the head of the town Muravlenko Alexander Podoroga.
The Ice Arena “Avangard” is a modern building equipped with everything necessary and designed on two storeys. It is purposed to conduct training sessions and competitions in ice hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating and to organize free public skating.
On the first storey of the Ice Arena, the total area of which is about 6 thousand square meters, there is an ice rink of the Olympic size 60 by 30 meters, four specialized changing rooms for hockey players, rooms for coaches, a sauna unit with a massage room, medical and administrative rooms, a hall, wardrobes, a buffet for sportspeople and spectators. The premises on the first storey are accessible to people with limited mobility. The ice rink is equipped with modern sports equipment: ice hockey goal posts, a scoreboard, stands for 398 seats, including four seats on the podium for spectators with disabilities of the musculoskeletal system. The one-time capacity of the ice arena and gyms makes 106 people. In addition, there is a room for sharpening and drying skates, a skate hire shop on the first storey to organize public skating.
On the second storey of the building there is a hall for strength sports, a conference hall, a hall for choreography with mirrors and dance bars, administrative offices and two changing rooms. The conference room is equipped with modern equipment to conduct press conferences and training sessions. A commentator’s cabin for the ice arena with view through window openings is provided for placement of sports commentators and conducting of sports broadcasts during competitions.
The Ice Arena will be the center of training and conducting of sports and mass actions of the interregional, regional and town levels on ice hockey and figure skating.
According to the press service of the governor of Yamal, Dmitry Kobylkin also conducted the meeting with representatives of the town public and the ceremony of awarding.
