In total 228 voting stations will be opened on Election Day, 12 of which are additional. 93 voting stations will be opened earlier in the morning than the usual time for more comfortable voting of workers of enterprises with round-the-clock cycle of work. 43 voting stations will be opened at 06:00, the others – at 07:00. Security on the election will be provided by more than 1400 security officers, 180 units of equipment. The voting stations will be taken under the guard two days before the beginning of voting. The Health day, which will be conducted on the Saturday instead of traditional work and lessons, will allow the precinct and territorial election commissions to prepare carefully for reception of voters. 160 voting stations will be taken under the video surveillance, and cameras will be installed so that it will be possible to see voting booths, tables, at which members of the precinct election commissions will work, and a room for reception of protocols.
An impressive army of volunteers will work on the voting stations: two volunteers — on each voting station. It is not difficult to identify them — they will be dressed in special bright blue vests with symbols of Yamal and the inscription “volunteer”. There is no doubt that their help is necessary: only 44 people of 1700 wheelchair users and visually impaired people declared their desire to vote at home. Disabled people will be provided with transport vehicles free of charge to reach the voting stations. All the voting stations are equipped with ramps or call buttons, mobile stair climbing devices for wheelchairs (Scalamobil) are installed on 21 stations.
The Electoral Commission of Yamal will inform about the voting process every two hours. In addition, experts, political scientists will work on the voting day, and at the exit from the voting stations the Russian Public Opinion Research Center will conduct the exit poll.
