“Yamal LNG” is testing the second stage of the plant. The start up is planned for the third quarter

“Yamal LNG” started commissioning the second stage of the plant, which will be launched in the third quarter of 2018.
This information was given by the deputy chairman of the board Mark Gyetvay. In January he said that the second stage of “Yamal LNG” could be started up in September.
In addition, offloading of liquefied natural gas to the fifth tanker of ice class Arc7 “Vladimir Rusanov” built for “Yamal LNG” will be started soon, as Mark Gyetvay notes.
In total 15 tankers of ice class Arc7 will be required for the project “Yamal LNG”, as PRIME reports. Now liquefied natural gas from “Yamal LNG” is transported by four tankers – “Christophe de Margerie”, “Boris Vilkitsky”, “Edward Toll” and “Fyodor Litke”.
The company “Yamal LNG” fulfills the project on building of the plant on production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on resource base of the South-Tambey field. The shareholders of “Yamal LNG” are: “NOVATEK” (50.1%), Total (20%), CNPC (20%) and the Silk Road Fund (9.9%).
Three technological lines with the capacity 5 million and 500 thousand tonnes each and one additional per 1 million tonnes are planned within the project. LNG production on the first technological line was started in December.
