The unprecedented level of trust and high attendance of the voters. 291409 residents of Yamal voted for Putin

In Yamal 85.54% of the total number of the voters expressed trust in Vladimir Putin on the election of the head of the state. On the 19th of March the Chairman of the Election Commission of Yamal Andrey Gibert announced the preliminary results of the voting.
Support of the candidate Vladimir Putin by residents of Yamal remains very high during all the election campaigns, starting since 2004, and it was always higher than 84%, as Andrey Gibert says.
In total 340791 voters came to the voting stations in Yamal, the attendance was 91.9 percent. It is on 1.5% lower than on the presidential elections of 2012, then the attendance was 93.43%.
The advantage of the current President of the country in the election on the 18th of March is obvious; it is several times higher than the results of all the candidates together. Thus, Pavel Grudinin (CPRF) gained 5.72% of the votes, Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR) – 5.7%, Ksenia Sobchak (“Civil Initiative”) — 0.7%, Maxim Suraykin (“Communists of Russia”) – 0.53%, Grigory Yavlinsky (“Yabloko”) – 0.4%, Boris Titov (“Party of Growth”) – 0.34%; Sergey Baburin (“Russian National Union”) – 0.31%.
The voters of rural areas traditionally voted the most actively. The maximum attendance was demonstrated by Nadymskiy district — 98.82% of the votes and Krasnoselkoup district — 97.57%. Among towns the leading positions are taken by Muravlenko and Noviy Urengoy, where 93.76% and 92.36% of the voters came to the voting stations.
The Central Election Commission will establish the final results of the voting in the country in the election of the President not later than on the 29th of March.
