“Nadym” is going to Murmansk. The vessel will be able to work the whole year round in the Gulf of Ob

The icebreaking tug of Atomflot “Nadym” came from Novorossiysk towards the port of Murmansk. The vessel is expected to arrive in Rosatomflot base in the third decade of June.
The tugboats “Pur”, “Tambey” and “Yuribey” were built within the project of Portoflot, as Mustafa Kashka, the first deputy director general, the chief engineer of Atomflot says. “These ships have proven themselves in the port of Sabetta. We have no doubt that the tug “Nadym” will be also effective”.
The multi-purpose sea port tug “Nadym” of the project T3687 has ice class Arc 6, as the office of communications of Rosatomflot informs. The capacity of the vessel makes 6.4 Megawatt. Open water speed makes 13.5 knots. The maximum draught is 6.71 meters, the length — 36 meters, the width — 13 meters. The crew consists of 10 people. Technical characteristics of the vessel allow it to work the whole year round in the Gulf of Ob.
The ceremony of launching of the icebreaking tug “Nadym” to water took place on the 18th of April at the production site of the enterprise “Kranship” in Krasnodar Krai. The vessel is named after the river situated in the north of Western Siberia and flowing into the Gulf of Ob of the Kara Sea. The tug is designed to provide a range of port services in the Gulf of Ob.
