The project of Gazprom dobycha Nadym “Argish goes beyond the horizon” became the winner of the international contest of ecological projects “Peace and harmony” in the nomination “Mass media and ecological culture”. (The note: “argish” means “deer caravan”).
“Argish goes beyond the horizon” tells about the unique experience of the enterprise on organizing of passages for reindeer herds through communications of Bovanenkovo oil, gas, condensate field, as the press center of the company reports.
“Starting full-scale arrival in the Yamal Peninsula, gas workers of Nadym were interested in observing the balance of interests of both indigenous population and enterprises of fuel and energy complex. The main thing is that together we were able to solve the difficult task on travelling of reindeer herds. Here a modern production stands, and nearby, as 100-200 years ago, tundra-dwellers travel peacefully, pasturing reindeer”, as the director general of “Gazprom dobycha Nadym” Sergey Menshikov said.
The contest “Peace and harmony” was conducted by the non-governmental ecological foundation of Vladimir Vernadsky. 506 applications from Russia and the CIS countries were submitted for it.
