NOVATEK fulfilled its first delivery of LNG to Kuwait

NOVATEK began delivering liquefied natural gas to Kuwait. It is confirmed by the vessel tracking data from Refinitiv Eikon. The tanker with LNG from Yamal came to Kuwait in mid-September of 2018, as the Agency of oil and gas information reports.
In April of 2016 Russian mass media informed that NOVATEK was negotiating with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation on LNG deliveries to Kuwait. Then the head of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation Nasser Abdullah Al-Saleh said that Kuwait planned to buy up to 1 million and 500 thousand tonnes of LNG in Russia annually.
“Yamal LNG” fulfills the project of construction of the plant on liquefying of natural gas on basis of the South-Tambey field. Three production lines with the capacity of 5 million and 500 thousand tonnes each and one for almost 1 million tonnes are planned. The startup of LNG production at the plant took place in December of 2017, and the second line was started up in August 2018, and in December it is planned to input the third one to operation.
