At the end of November the fleet of the project “Yamal LNG” will be replenished with the eighth tanker of Arc7 Ice class under the name “Georgiy Brusilov”. According to the data of the global positioning system for ships, it will arrive in the port of Sabetta on the 30th of November, as the agency “Prime” informs. The Greek company Dynagas LNG Partners is the owner of the ship.
Liquefied gas from the project is already transported on the ships “Christophe de Margerie”, “Boris Vilkitsky”, “Eduard Toll”, “Fyodor Litke”, “Vladimir Rusanov”, “Rudolf Samoylovich” and “Vladimir Vize”. In total “Yamal LNG” requires 15 tankers of Arc7 Ice class.
NOVATEK appealed to owners of ships with the request to accelerate delivery of tankers because of the startup of the second technological line of “Yamal LNG” ahead of the schedule and also the forthcoming faster startup of the third line in December.
In August the head of the company Leonid Mikhelson informed that the request was taken into consideration, and till the end of this year “Yamal LNG” would receive four tankers Arc7 and one more – in January of 2019. Thus, in September the fleet of the project was replenished with the tanker “Rudolf Samoylovich”, in October – “Vladimir Vize”, and, with consideration of “Georgiy Brusilov”, one more tanker should arrive till the end of 2018.
