The first transshipment of LNG from Yamal was fulfilled in the north-east of Norway

In the north-east of Norway the tanker “Vladimir Rusanov” fulfilled the first transshipment of liquefied natural gas from the project “Yamal LNG”. It took place according to the scheme “ship to ship” to the tanker being situated in the bay of Sarnes in the north-east of Norway. This information was given to the information-and-analytical agency “PortNews” in the port administration of the country.
As we should remind, in September NOVATEK signed the agreement with the Norwegian Tschudi Shipping Company on transshipment of LNG. The company plans to use Norwegian ports for transshipment “ship to ship” during two-three years till the launch of the complex in Murmansk.
According to the earlier information, NOVATEK plans to build the complex of transshipment and storage of LNG in the Ura Bay in Murmansk Oblast. The amount of transshipment can make 20 million tonnes per year.
