The third stage of “Yamal LNG” will lead the plant to the project capacity ahead of schedule

The third stage of the plant “Yamal LNG” will be launched on the 11th of December. The project will reach the project capacity one year ahead of schedule. This information was given on the 10th of December by the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov in Salekhard at the opening of the International Circumpolar Congress “Arctic Media World”.
The project “Yamal LNG” has the key significance for Russia LNG-industry and is one of the largest in the world. Owing to startup of the third line the plant will reach its project capacity – 16 million tonnes of LNG-production per year.
“Yamal LNG” fulfills the project on building of the plant of liquefied natural gas on the base of the South-Tambey field. The shareholders are: NOVATEK (50.1%), Total (20%), CNPC (20%) and the Silk Road Fund (9.9%). Three technological lines with the capacity 5 million 500 thousand tonnes each and one in almost 1 million tonnes are planned within the project.
