The photograph “A hunter” made by Vladimir Kushnaryov in the settlement Vosyakhovo of Shuryshkarskiy district was included to the number of winners of the fourth photo-contest of the Russian Geographical Society “The most beautiful country”. The photograph was recognized the best in the nomination “Small indigenous peoples of Russia”.
The main prize in each nomination makes 250 thousand rubles. The awards to the winners were given in the Kremlin by the president of the Russian Geographical Society Sergey Shoygu, an art historian, the director general of the Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova, a pilot-cosmonaut Sergey Ryazansky, a photographer, a member of the jury of “The most beautiful country” Ivan Kurinnoy and the two-time Olympic champion in gymnastics Svetlana Khorkina.
The photo-contest took place from the 19th of December of 2017 to the 3rd of April of 2018. During this time more than 45 thousand photographs were received on the portal photo.rgo.ru, as it is informed on the website of the Russian Geographical Society. Both professionals and amateurs were able to participate in it. There are no limits on age or a place of residence of participants. The main rule of the contest is the following: all the photographs should be taken on the territory of Russia.
Starting with the 1st of October, photographs are already being received for the fifth photo-contest “The most beautiful country”. It includes 12 nominations. A separate creative contest “The most beautiful country through eyes of children” will take place within it. Young photographers from 5 to 16 years old can become the participants. They will compete in 5 nominations.
