If the Reindeer Herder’s Day receives a new symbol, then the Day of Indigenous Peoples of the North will be conducted in absolutely new format – the meeting of three ethnic groups, in which Nenets, Selkoup and Khanty peoples will participate.
According to Andrey Kolesnikov, the prospects of tourism development in Tazovskiy district are connected with event tourism – yearly celebration of the Reindeer Herder’s Day (the end of March) and the Day of Indigenous Peoples of the North (on the 9th of August).
