Since the beginning of this year the amount of oil production by “Messoyakhaneftegaz” has increased on 30% in comparison to the same period of the previous year and made 4 million 400 thousand tonnes. Thus, the company fulfilled the annual production plan ahead of schedule.
Increase in oil extraction was received due to implementation of the set of geological and technical activities and introduction of technologies on intensification of inflow. As a result, the daily amount of oil extraction in the East Messoyakha field reached 13 thousand 400 tonnes.
This year 140 wells were built in the East Messoyakha, the total length of drilling progress exceeded 540 kilometers. Each fourth well was drilled with use of “fishbone” technology and has up to eight branches from the main borehole. It allows increasing oil recovery from complicated arctic formations. This information was given to the news agency “Sever-Press” in the board of corporate communications of “Messoyakhaneftegaz”.
Development of deep horizons of the field became one of important activities of the company this year. Development of reserves located at the depth of 2.5 to 3.3 thousand meters is complicated with the small thickness of productive layers and high formation pressure. In addition, in 2018 work on search for new promising areas was continued. A gas and oil deposit was discovered by the results of implementation of the comprehensive program on geological tests; its geological reserves are estimated in 85 million tonnes, and extractable — in 26 million tonnes of oil. Prospects and economic efficiency of industrial development of the West Messoyakha license area are confirmed.
“Currently the enterprise operates in the mode of growing production. This necessitates constant introduction of new drilling technologies, intensification of inflow, preparation of increasing amounts of raw materials, continuous development of human resources. Work on construction and development was not stopped even for a single day during two years since the launch of the East Messoyakha into commercial operation. We carry out technological re-arrangement, input modern equipment to operation and improve quality of life for rotational employees. I am sure that the era of digitalization, which we have entered, opens up new opportunities for the enterprise, provides us with new unique knowledge and tools. Learning how to use them effectively is the key task for 2019”, said Victor Sorokin, the director general of Messoyakhaneftegaz said.
