We shall work with companies that are involved in extraction of resources behind the Polar Circle in the northern polar regions, in particular, in Alaska, Greenland, Iceland, Canada, Norway, Russia, Finland and Sweden. I am sure that our potential and achievements in the sphere of the Arctic studies will allow the supporting higher education institution to fulfill all the tasks”, as the Professor commented.
The aim of the expert group is to advance high ecological standards among companies being involved in extraction of resources in the Arctic. The results of the group’s work will be published in the form of the rating of companies in open access.
In addition, Marina Belonozhko and more than 20 leading scientists of the country will unite for scientific research of the Arctic.
