Gas extraction in the Russian Federation in 2018 grew on 5% — up to the record 725 milliard cubic meters. This information was given by the minister of energy Alexander Novak within the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
According to Alexander Novak, in 2018, in particular, the third stage of Bovanenkovo field in Yamal was input to operation.
As the minister notes, oil extraction in the Russian Federation in 2018 grew on 10 million tonnes or on 1.6% in comparison to 2017 – up to 556 million tonnes.
“54 extractive fields were input to operation. Some of them are large such as Russkoye, Tagulskoye, Kuyumbinskoye in Krasnoyarsk Krai and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug”, as Alexander Novak said.
Export of gas from the Russian Federation grew in 2018 on 20 milliard cubic meters in comparison to 2017 – up to 225 milliard cubic meters, deliveries of pipeline gas – on 4.1%, LNG – on 70%, as the Agency of oil and gas information reports.
“At that, I would like to focus attention on growth of pipeline deliveries – on 4.1%, and, of course, in connection with input to operation of new capacities – the plant “Yamal LNG”, two stages in 5 million 500 thousand tonnes each – the total amount of export of liquefied natural gas increased on 70% and made almost 26 milliard cubic meters of gas. This direction is actively developed”, as the minister noted.
