The Arctic Sabetta is the confident leader in dynamics of the cargo turnover growth

The Arctic port of Sabetta still has no equal in dynamics of the cargo turnover growth. The oceanic export terminal of the project “Yamal LNG” in January transshipped 2 million 837 thousand tonnes (+189.2% in comparison to January of 2018). This information is given in the press-service of the Federal Agency of sea and river transport.
But Sabetta is still lagging behind in amounts of the cargo turnover. Novorossiysk in the Black Sea confidently keeps the absolute leadership, having transshipped 13 million 230 thousand tonnes in January. In addition, according to the results of the first month of 2019, the top 5 sea ports of Russia in terms of the cargo turnover also include the ports of Ust-Luga, Vostochny, Murmansk and Primorsk.
In general, the cargo turnover of Russian sea ports in January increased by 5.6% in comparison to the same period of 2018 and made 67 million 610 thousand tonnes. At that, the ports of the Arctic basin showed the highest dynamics among all domestic sea basins: +25.3%, making 9 million 370 thousand tonnes.
