The charitable foundation for support of children “Yamine” and the Yamal Union of reindeer herders concluded the agreement on cooperation. The document was signed by the director of the foundation Dmitry Frolov and the chairman of the board of the Yamal Union of reindeer herders, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly Stepan Vanuito.
The purpose of the agreement is to popularize activity of the foundation in the most remote corners of the region and to tell tundra-dwellers about the organization ready to help sick children. The Union of reindeer herders is ready to become a conductor of useful information for population.
“We want that as many children of reindeer herders, fishermen and residents of remote villages as possible would receive support from the charitable foundation. People in towns know about work of the foundation, but in tundra the situation is different. I would like to bring information about the foundation in every corner of the region and to make it known in the most remote nomadic camps”, commented Stepan Vanuito to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press”.
Dmitry Frolov supported the idea. He assures that the foundation cooperates actively with interested sides. Agreements signed with some municipalities, as well as the active position of population help to raise funds in emergency cases.
As we should remind, “Yamine” has been working for 8 years, during this time more than 3.5 thousand children received assistance. At the same time, the number of appeals is growing every year. If last year “Yamine” helped more than 600 children, this year support was given to 750 children, more than 800 cases are under consideration. Dmitry Frolov marks activity of philanthropists, but notes with regret that the incoming funds are not enough.
