In Sabetta cargo ships and tankers – gas carriers quickly receive necessary documentation

The governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov conducted the meeting with the head of the Border Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the western arctic region Stanislav Maslov.
Development of the Northern Sea Route and influence of economic activity being conducted in Yamal on providing of its security became the main topic of the conversation. Dmitry Artyukhov told about strategic production and infrastructural projects in the border zone: the plant “Arctic LNG 2”, the Northern Latitudinal Railway and the Northern Latitudinal Railway-2.
According to Stanislav Maslov, the border service attaches supreme significance to control over such important transport artery as the Northern Sea Route. Understanding economic significance of Yamal projects for the whole country, by virtue of its authorities the service contributes to development of economic activity on the territory of the region. First of all, the talk is about registration of necessary documentation in a short time for cargo ships and gas tankers entering the port of Sabetta.
The sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the sphere of protection of aquatic biological resources, as the press service of the head of the region informs.
As it should be reminded, construction of the Northern Latitudinal Railway will allow radically changing routes of delivery of cargoes from Western Siberia to ports of the Baltic Sea and unload the Sverdlovsk Railway. The Northern Latitudinal Railway-2, which will make Sabetta the easternmost port of the Northern Sea Route with the supplied railroad line, will become continuation of the project.
