The Omsk branch of GlavGosEkspertiza (the State Expert Evaluation Department) of Russia approved the resubmitted project documentation and results of engineering researches for building of a booster compressor station on Samburgskoye license area. By the results of fulfillment of the project, the capacity of the station will make 41 million 720 thousand cubic meters per day.
Samburgskoye license area of Urengoyskoye field, where operations on development of Achimov deposits of Urengoyskoye oil, gas, condensate field are conducted, is located in Purovsky district of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The license for its development belongs to the company “Arktikgaz”. Industrial extraction of natural gas and gas condensate in Samburgskoye field was started in April of 2012. At the moment, the first, the second and the third stages of a gas treatment unit, an oil treatment unit and linear pipelines for transportation of gas and condensate have been input to operation.
The project documentation provides for construction of the booster compressor station. According to the press service of GlavGosEkspertiza of Russia, the station is necessary for compressing of formation gas of Achimov deposits in Urengoyskoye field on Samburg license area up to the pressure, which will allow providing effective operation of low-temperature separation units on preparation of gas for further transport.
The building process will take place in four stages. Gas cooling units and an air compressor, a block transformer substation and an emergency diesel electric power plant will be built during the first one. Modules of gas compressor units with main and auxiliary equipment will be input to operation at the remaining three stages, starting from the second stage of construction of the booster compressor station, with consideration of dynamics of changes in gas flow and pressure in the course of its operation and also with consideration of increase in power consumption. In-site communications will also be laid.
