The demonstration launch of the unmanned aerial vehicle ZALA took place in Salekhard on the 5th of July.
According to the developers, the unmanned aircraft has the best targeted loads in its class: long-range communication, increased load capacity. The device is also equipped with a thermal imager. The aircraft is able to take off to the height of 5 thousand meters, can withstand different temperature range — from minus 40C to plus 50C degrees.
The governor of Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov was present at the event. In addition to potential of the unmanned aerial vehicles, guns against air drones, which the governor tried, were demonstrated to him.
In total, several flying vehicles with different capabilities were presented to the attention. Thus, use of unmanned aerial vehicles will ensure introduction of the video monitoring system for detection of forest fires, monitoring of the flood situation, safety on the roads and within search and rescue operations on the territory of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Currently, more than 1000 ZALA complexes operate in Russia. The scope of their application includes protection of state borders, reconnaissance and rescue operations, monitoring of high-risk objects and locations of emergency situations. The company’s specialists developed unique solutions and introduced standards within fulfillment of geodetic, ecological and scientific research in severe operating conditions.
In April of this year designers from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Izhevsk have already conducted similar presentation. In the end of summer it is planned to purchase unmanned aerial vehicles from one of the companies.
