A chess player from Salekhard Galina Mikheyeva became the winner in the world championship that was completed in China, Weifang. In the tournament among girls under 12 years old she won the title of the strongest.
During the tournament Galina, not allowing a single loss, was firmly on the second place, and in the last 11th round, scoring 9.5 points and surpassing a chess player from Kazakhstan Alua Nurmanova by tiebreak indicators, she won the golden medal.
It should be noted that recently Galina became the bronze medalist at the world rapid chess championship in Belarus.
