Dmitry Artyukhov: development of the Northern Sea Route requires strengthening of the Arctic grouping

The governor of Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov participated in the extended sitting of the public council of the Northern Sea Route, which was held on the fields of the Eastern Economic Forum 2019 by Rosatom Corporation.
It was held in the maritime training center at G.I. Nevelskoi Maritime State University in Vladivostok.
“Personnel for work on icebreakers will be educated here. 27 ships went along the Northern Sea Route in 2018. Development of the Northern Sea Route requires strengthening of the Arctic grouping. It includes icebreakers and emergency rescue fleet”, Dmitry Artyukhov wrote on Instagram.
As it should be reminded, the delegation of Yamal is participating in the international Eastern Economic Forum, which is being held in Vladivostok. The program of the forum includes a row of sections, development of the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route is their theme. Among them there are: “The Resource Base of the Far East and the Arctic: Current State and Development Prospects”, “Legislative Support for Arctic Development”. Also, the prospects for development of the Northern Sea Route will be discussed at the sections “Russia — Japan” and “Russia — Republic of Korea”.
Dmitry Artyukhov will participate in the sitting of the Presidium of the State Council dedicated to the national program on development of the Far Eastern regions. Also, on the 5th of September the governor of Yamal will speak on the report at the session “Legislative Support for Arctic Development” and will participate in the plenary session of the forum.
The plans include the number of business meetings with representatives of the business community and fuel and energy companies.
