On the 6th of January a Russian chess player Alexandra Goryachkina played a draw with a Chinese chess player Ju Wenjun in the second game of the match for the title of the world chess champion, as RIA Novosti reports.
The game held on Monday in Shanghai ended in a draw after the 40th move. Goryachkina played black.
The first game also ended in a draw.
The match for the women’s world chess crown consists of 12 games to be played from the 5th to the 24th of January. The first games will be held from the 5th to the 12th of January in Shanghai, the rest — from the 16th to the 24th of January in Vladivostok. The third game of the matchup between Goryachkina and Ju Wenjun will be held on the 8th of January.
