The chess player from Yamal Alexandra Goryachkina won the victory over Ju Wenjun from China in the eighth game of the match for the title of the world chess champion. Alexandra played white and had significant advantages. The score is 4.5:3.5.
After a series of mistakes by the Chinese sportswoman, who was noticeably nervous, the chess player from Yamal calmly brought the game to the victory. The next game will take place on the 19th of January.
The second part of the match is taking place in Vladivostok and will end on the 24th of January. The chess players will play in total 12 games; and in a case of the final draw, the winner will be defined in the tiebreak.
