Public activists from Purovskiy appealed to the editorial office of the news agency “Sever-Press” with a request to provide information support in raising funds for treatment of the boy from Tarko-Salye Igor Zubarev. According to mother of the eight-year-old child, Yulia Glazunova, Igor is currently being treated in a Moscow clinic and is preparing for bone marrow transplantation.
Igor Zubarev has Wiskott–Aldrich syndrome (WAS), a rare hereditary disease that is characterized by a combination of three symptoms: skin eczema, thrombocytopenia (that is, low platelet levels) and immunodeficiency. Thus, the disease belongs to primary immunodeficiency. In addition, patients with WAS have a significantly increased risk of developing malignant tumors and autoimmune disorders. Wiskott–Aldrich syndrome is a rare disease, its frequency is estimated as 4-10 cases per 1000 live newborns. Today, Igor cannot run and jump, play sports and just play football with other children. Any minor injury can lead to serious problems.
“My son needs our help. The transplantation is his chance for a full life. I appeal to my fellow countrymen, residents of Yamal, please, support Igor. I really hope that concerned residents of Yamal will help us, and my son will have a chance to look forward to tomorrow. For now, every moment may be his last. The operation on transplantation is scheduled for this Friday, the 24th of January. There is a donor, but there is no medicament “Mozobail”, which must be included in the conditioning procedure to improve engraftment. The medicament costs 550000 rubles”, Yulia Glazunova explained to a correspondent of the news agency “Sever-Press”.
By the way, the boy’s mother is the donor. You can help the boy by transferring money to the account of Gift of Life Foundation (https://podari-zhizn.ru/main/node/36191) or by sending an SMS message with the sum of the donation to the number 6162. In the purpose of payment, you must specify that this is a charitable donation within “Help for children in clinics” (“Pomoshch detyam v klinikakh”). If the document does not contain the words “charitable donation” (“blagotvoritelnoye pozhertvovaniye”), the foundation will be obliged to pay the state income tax from the money that you have transferred. Your donation will first go to pay for Igor’s treatment.
