In Yamal indigenous population will be taught to communicate with foreign tourists

The Association for economic development of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North and the youth center of Salekhard signed the agreement on cooperation for implementation of tourist and youth projects. A new educational project for indigenous ethnic minorities of the North is being launched within it – the English language express-courses “Cool English in the choum” (CHOUMovoy Angliyskiy).   

The sides invite all persons from indigenous ethnic minorities of the North, who wish to provide services in the sphere of tourism, to participate in the courses. The first lesson will be held on the 28^th of January on the basis of the state institution “The Association for economic development of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North”. Lessons will be held weekly every Tuesday.

(The note: a choum is a dwelling of nomads, reindeer herders; it is a tent covered with reindeer hides and similar to a tepee).
