Dreams come true. In Bovanenkovo gas workers surprised veterans of Yamal

Veterans-pensioners from Salekhard, Aksarka and Labytnangi visited Bovanenkovskoye field. First they made a 26-hour train journey from Labytnangi to the railway station Karskaya in Bovanenkovo in order to see with their own eyes how gas extraction is conducted.

The representatives of the company “Gazprom dobycha Nadym” showed the guests the first gas production facility of Bovanenkovskoye field and told about technological processes of extraction and preparation of blue fuel for transportation to consumers.

“This is a long-awaited travel for us. We have been looking for an opportunity to see gas production with our own eyes for long time, to visit such a large-scale field”, said Tatyana Liskun, a veteran of Yamal. – “I was impressed with the power of production facilities. I really liked the collective of the gas field – they are all friendly, ready to answer any question, explain how everything works, how gas is extracted. I am happy to be here”.

After visiting of the production facilities the guests were acquainted to life of gas extracting workers, as the corporate online edition of “Gazprom dobycha Nadym” Gazovik.info reports. The pensioners were pleasantly surprised with living conditions and organizing of leisure activities of the workers. In particular, they saw a swimming pool, a gym and a room with training apparatuses. Some of them joked that they would be happy to live in such comfortable conditions themselves.

The idea to travel to the left bank of the Seyakha belongs to an activist of the regional Council of veterans Gennady Sysolyatin. He appealed to the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov with a request for help in organizing of such an excursion, and the gas extracting workers helped to fulfill the long-time dream of the pensioners.

“We asked our governor to organize this tour and wanted to get here. Impressions will be enough for the whole life”, said Gennady Sysolyatin. – “Thank you for the excursion organized at the international level. Clearly, capaciously, to the point. Everything was planned out at the time. Well done! We arrived on Sunday, on the day off, and here work is fulfilled the whole day round, like clockwork. And if Angela Merkel in Germany now went to the kitchen, put a match to the stove, then, more likely, the gas came to her from Bovanenkovo”.  

“Generally, of course, good job was done – such plants were built on a swamp, such infrastructure”, the honored worker of culture of Russia, a representative of the Russian Union of journalists, a local historian, the honorary citizen of Salekhard Lyudmila Lipatova shared her impressions. – “I like the fact that domestic equipment is used in extractive fields of Yamal, that great attention is paid to ecology and care of people – the company’s personnel. By the nature of my work in the 70-s I had a lot of travels to gas and oil fields. I thought it was hard to surprise me. But what is built here, on the edge of the Earth, is really impressive”.

The veterans took home impressions, photos and souvenirs from “Gazprom dobycha Nadym”.
