“Yamal LNG” sent 119 tanker consignments for sale

In 2019 NOVATEK sold 8 million 200 thousand tonnes of liquefied natural gas from “Yamal LNG” through its subsidiary Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. This information was given in the presentation of the company’s deputy chairman Mark Gyetvay.

In total 119 tanker consignments were sold from “Yamal LNG” last year, as the economic information agency Prime informs. In general, “Yamal LNG” shipped 18 million 400 thousand tonnes of LNG in 2019, and since the launch of the project in 2017 the amount of shipments has reached 26 million 900 thousand tonnes.

“Yamal LNG” is a Russian project for liquefying of natural gas on the basis of the South Tambeyskoye field. Its shareholders are: NOVATEK (50.1%), Total (20%), CNPC (20%) and the Silk Road Fund (9.9%). Three production lines with the capacity 5 million 500 thousand tonnes of LNG each were launched within the project. Thus, the total design capacity of the plant is 16 million 500 thousands tonnes per year. The fourth line is being built with use of own technology of NOVATEK “Arctic Cascade” for almost 1 million tonnes.
