Purovskiy district is preparing to open the marathon of the Reindeer Herder’s Days

The head of Purovskiy district Andrey Nesteruk held the organizational sitting on preparing and holding of individual and team competitions in ethnic sports among agricultural enterprises and the celebration of the Reindeer Herder’s Days in settlements of Purovskiy district.

This year the district competitions will be conducted for the eighth time, traditionally they attract a large number of both participants and spectators. The participants of the sitting approved the plan of organizational events, distributed areas of responsibility to make the holiday not only colorful, but also comfortable, as the administration of Purovskiy district reports.

The individual and team competitions are scheduled for the 21^st of February, and the next day it is planned to organize the race of reindeer sleighs. All agricultural enterprises of the district will present their teams, and private reindeer herders will also show themselves in the race of reindeer sleighs. About a hundred reindeer sleighs will participate in the race, and the main set of prizes has already been purchased.

The cultural program of the festival promises to be rich as well: soloists and collectives are preparing the festive concert, and the organizers — contests of ethnic clothes and folklore.

On these days on-site trade, points with hot tea and pastries will be organized on the trading station Kar-Nat. Safety and health of people will be monitored by teams of representatives of the police department, the Cossacks and the medical service. On the eve of the race the medical examination will be obligatory for all participants of the competition.

As it should be reminded, the spring marathon of sports and festive events dedicated to the Reindeer Herder’s Day will be started with the district competitions on the trading station Kar-Nat. The activities will be held in all the settlements of the district.
