The Night Hockey League of Yamal acquired the arctic heroes

Now the Night Hockey League of Yamal has the arctic heroes drawn by the American artist Eric Poole. It is possible to see the arctic heroes on posters, t-shirts and other attributes.

Nikolay Chumarin, the head of the Night Hockey League in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, a player in the League of Hope division, told how the idea to create “The arctic heroes of the Night Hockey League” appeared, and how it was possible to implement the plan.

“The idea of the arctic heroes of the Night Hockey League came suddenly, but the most difficult thing was to make it real. I had doubts that the American artist Eric Poole would respond to our letter. When the answer came, I was extremely surprised and happy. After that we started studying the teams to determine mascots. I wanted to make sure that each of them had a mascot with a story, and not just a beast that they like. After approval of all the mascots, we sent Eric our wishes, and the most interesting things were started. He created each mascot individually and sent us everything — from sketches to the original. We are very happy with the result, and I believe that with this work we have made a step forward in development of the Night Hockey League of Yamal, Nikolay Chumarin said.

The American graphic artist and designer Eric Poole loves sports and skillfully draws it. Symbols of clubs of the major leagues, such as NHL, NFL, NBA and MLB in militant images are main characters of his artworks. Many fans of the most popular American sports know his creative work. Before the start of the latest Gagarin Cup playoffs he also worked with the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
