“Soul of the tundra” was evaluated at the Russian level

The ethnic festival “Soul of the tundra” became the laureate of the 3^rd degree in the all-Russian contest of topical national and cultural projects “Russia: ethnic comfort” in January of 2020.

The event was supported by the Commission for the preservation and development of cultural and linguistic diversity of peoples of Russia under the Council for Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation. It was organized by the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation and the Polenov State Russian House of Folk Arts. In total, the contest received more than 200 projects from 63 regions of the country.  

It should be noted that in Yamal the ethnic festival “Soul of the tundra” has been held for several years and is popular among residents and guests of the region. Traditionally, it is held in mid-June. During this time residents of Yamal have a unique opportunity not only to look at art works by masters or buy them, but also to participate in their creation. It is possible to participate in a variety of directions: carving, painting, weaving.
