Amounts of oil and gas extraction grew in Yamal

The amount of gas extraction in Yamal last year in comparison to 2018 increased by 2.1% and made 608 milliard cubic meters.

According to the department of natural resource regulation, forestry relations and development of oil and gas complex in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the basic amount of gas extraction in the region 448 milliard cubic meters (73.7% of the entire production) — was provided by “Gazprom” enterprises. The share of NOVATEK companies was 17.5% (106 milliard 600 million cubic meters), while the share of other companies was 8.8% (53 milliard 400 million cubic meters).

Oil extraction was also increased by 7.3% up to 34 million 300 thousand tonnes, and gas condensate extraction was increased by 10.7% up to 23 million 600 thousand tonnes.

“Gazprom Neft” extracted the biggest amount of oil, 61% of the entire extraction in the region, or 20 million 800 thousand tonnes. “Rosneft” enterprises extracted 16.9%, or 5 million 800 thousand tonnes, NOVATEK — 14.5%, or 5 million tonnes, and other subsoil users — 7.6%, or 2 million 700 thousand tonnes.

NOVATEK enterprises extracted 46% of the total condensate extraction, or 10 million 900 thousand tonnes, while 41%, or 9 million 700 thousand tonnes were extracted by “Gazprom” enterprises. The share of other companies made 13% (3 million tonnes), as the press service of the head of Yamal told the news agency “Sever-Press”.

In 2020 Yamal is expected to extract 598 milliard cubic meters of gas, 37 million 900 thousand tonnes of oil and 27 million 800 thousand tonnes of condensate. Thus, this year in comparison to last year the amount of gas extraction will remain almost at the same level, oil — will increase by 10%, condensate — by 15%.
