On the 21st of February the parade was held in Labytnangi for Ivan Alexandrovich Putilin, a participant of the Great Patriotic War. It was organized on the initiative of the head of the town Marina Treskova.
“The only participant of the Great Patriotic War, Ivan Putilin, lives in our town. Time has not been kind to heroes-veterans, for health reasons he rarely goes out and will not be able to participate in the festive events dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the jubilee Victory Day. We decided – let the parade itself come to the veteran”, wrote Marina Treskova in the social network “VKontakte”, inviting fellow countrymen to the event.
Ivan Putilin is a front-line soldier, the honorary citizen of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Labytnangi, a land surveyor, who spent more than 46 years, working in the Far North. Last December he celebrated his 95th anniversary.
Cadets, young army men, employees of the police marched near the house, where the veteran lives. The song “Victory Day” was performed by teachers of the children’s school of art for Ivan Alexandrovich. Marina Treskova and the chief federal inspector of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Alexander Yamokhin greeted the front-line soldier.
“Countrymen! The atmosphere of the event is beyond description, full of emotion. Children, who wanted to come closer to say “hello” to the veteran also felt their participation in this action”, the administration of Labytnangi reports in the social network VKontakte.
