Volleyball players of “Fakel” (Torch) will not go to Italy for the second match of the Champions League quarter-final against “Perugia”. The club from Noviy Urengoy notified the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). The meeting was to take place on the 10th of March. It was planned that the match would take place with empty stands in connection to the coronavirus infection outbreak in this country. But the volleyball players from Noviy Urengoy refused to play in Italy.
As it should be noted, the first meeting held in Noviy Urengoy was completed with the victory of the Italian club 3:1. The decision on the second match will be taken by CEV.
