The municipal enterprise of Priuralskiy district “Payuta” will deliver 12 tonnes of venison to Finland. The first trial consignment will be sent this month. Agreements on export were reached at the working meeting with participation of heads of the regional departments of external relations and agro-industrial complex, the Finnish company “Lapin Nahka”, the municipal enterprise “Payuta” and the executive authorities of Priuralskiy district.
The owner of the company “Lapin Nahka” Harri Pokka and his employees visited the meat processing complex “Payuta”, where they familiarized themselves with production capacities and quality of manufactured products, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs. According to Aleksey Vereshchak, the director of “Payuta”, such contacts with foreign partners help to improve the company’s performance.
“They saw our production, we heard their wishes”, said Aleksey Vereshchak.
Lapin Nahka is the leader in sale and processing of reindeer hides. It has been cooperating with Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug since 2017. Harri Pokka built a reindeer meat processing plant in Rovaniemi. The company is searching for reliable suppliers in the Russian Federation.
According to the owner of the company “Lapin Nahka”, he is very happy with the arrival. Now the company is aimed at working with fresh meat for sale in frozen form.
Sergey Uramayev, the first deputy director of the regional department of external relations, notes that the reached agreements are the result of many years of work, and they meet objectives of the national project “International cooperation and export”.
“The municipal enterprise “Payuta” became the second exporter of reindeer meat to Finland. The first contract with Finnish partners was signed by the enterprise “Yamalskiye Oleni” (Yamal reindeer), which delivers products to the concern Polarica OY”, he commented.
