The Ministry of natural resources and environment of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of development of the Far East and the Arctic announced about postponement of the International forum “Arctic and Antarctic Days in Moscow” for autumn because of the current epidemiological situation. The events were scheduled to start on the 20th of March.
The forum is being postponed for the first time in 10 years of its existence. This year the special program is planned: high-status business and bright cultural events, a lot of creative teams and participants from the Arctic regions, foreign representatives. The new date of the forum and the updated version of the program will be published on the website of the forum (http://arctic-days.ru/).
“The forced postponement of the forum gives us an opportunity to make its program even more interesting and rich. Preparation for “Arctic and Antarctic Days in Moscow” will be continued. Registration/accreditation will be valid for the new dates of the event”, as it is informed on the website of the Ministry of natural resources of the Russian Federation.
In addition, it became known about postponement of another anniversary event in Moscow — the exhibition “Neftegaz-2020” (the 20th Anniversary International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for Oil and Gas Industries). Traditionally, the exhibition is complemented with the business program, and the National oil and gas forum is its main event. The exhibition was to be held from the 13th to the 16th of April and to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The decision to postpone the events was made because of the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, and according to the decree of the mayor of Moscow on the 10th of March, 2020, as the press service of Expocentre reports. The event is rescheduled to the 22nd – 25th of June.
