The representatives of the center for national cultures and the participants of the festival of peoples of the North communicated with the visitors of the Museum, told about various items being used by tundra dwellers. Bright outfits, ethnic songs – this is only a small part of what one could see at the opening. After the ceremony the curator of the exhibition Snezhana Orlova conducted a short tour, demonstrated the ethnic horoscope, and the guests tried to write their names in Nenets language. The visitors of the exhibition “Masters of tundra” called the photo zone a bright accent. Anyone could try on a real malitsa – a nomadic man’s fur coat — and take a picture against the background of the Northern Lights. The festival of peoples of the North was continued in the town museum with the master class by Viktor Seliverstov. The participants of the class mastered wood carving.
